For those of you that are serious about building a profitable online blogging business you need to set some guides lines before you start I tried to start blogging with out setting up rules and got little to no visitors to my website, but once I start following a set of guide lines I started to see traffic. The trick is to write good content, content that Goggle and other search engines need. How do you do this you ask, well... you start by using the Goggle keyword tool to find unused phrases and use those phrases in your content, forums are also a good places to find keywords. Content for keywords isn't anything new people have been doing for years and people will keep doing it for many years to come. I can't stress this enough keyword research before writing content is how you get free organic search engine traffic. The first article I wrote for first blog I started went to number one for the keyword phrase I targeted at the time I didn't know anything about keyword research and I just thought that it was like shooting fish in a barrel, blogging so easy, my confidence was though the roof so I wrote more articles and none of them even showed in the top three pages on Google's search results. It took me a little while before i realized that for an online blogging business to succeed I'd have to find out what went wrong that's when I realized that I was trying for search terms or phrases that I had no chance of getting. Alright I'm blabbering on so I'll stop and get to the reason your here.

Building a profitable online blogging business

1. Do your keyword research find a niche you can you compete in
2. Look for affiliate programs in your in your niche (if you can't find one it may not be profitable)
3. Choose your domain name carefully and put your target keyword in the domain name (it's easier this way)
4. Write your first three posts using your keyword phrases
5. Get active in a few forums in your niche (at least 2 but shoot for 10)
   1. start posting questions make sure a link to your site is in your profile this way when you post questions your website gets some exposure
   2. start answering questions this is good for other people to see you know your stuff and they may link back to you
6. Write more posts
7. Write some articles and submit them to article directories
8. Once you start seeing some traffic put up some ads
9. Buy me a cup of coffee and your done:)

OK so I decided to set a goal for this site and it is 60 days to online profits though Goggle Adsense.

I've been writing for this site for about a month seeing little to no traffic and Yesterday I decided I need to be more aggressive with my website but enough with the blah blah what's the plan to online profits.

All good goals need a plan. Over the last few months my desires for online profits has grown to an almost uncontrollable urge, an urge that can only be quenched though some passive income, the more the better.

Man vs search engine the count down begins, days to online profits has started here are my goals.

1. Aggressive keyword targeting
2. Aggressive link building
3. Write at least 2 articles a day

The 100 bucks challenge is a website where the author has devoted his knowledge and time to sharing his findings on create a niche website that makes 100 dollars a day from adsense in 3 months. I love what he is trying to do and I can't believe how ambitious he is. That's a lot of money to get up to in 3 months. When he did the math he figured he'd have to create 60 articles to achieve his goal. I guess that's not too bad if you plan out your entire site and start writing keyword intense articles.  He could have all his content written in the first month and spend the next 2 months promoting the site. I make it sound so simple, lol. Writing 2 articles a day isn't that bad I've been writing 4 a day for the last couple week or so. The promoting the site will be tough part.

I started this site about a month ago but before this one I started www.CodeResearchCenter.com, I'm starting to see traffic on that site, nothing special but I didn't follow a pattern, I didn't do my research I just started to create an open source portal a bad area. It's been done... a lot. I'm still going to finish this way I'll have my own website framework to work with and as the project progresses I'll have an easier time sitting up niche websites.

I'm not getting much traffic on that site because I didn't cover a new topic and I didn't do keyword research, well... I didnt' do a lot of things that would have made that site popular. I started www.CodeResearchCenter.com more to have a place in my area of expertise in which I can wright content for with out any effort. Do what you love type site. Which is a great idea it's just I didn't and needed to follow a set of simple guide that I'll out line later in this post.

But first, what is niche marketing?

Niche marketing is when you pick a relatively unpopular topic inside a niche and start creating content for it using very targeted keywords. if done wright you should see traffic from search engines with out doing any pay per click (PPC) advertising.

Great but who cares about internet traffic?

You should, if you have a lot of internet traffic you can make money though advertising or selling affiliate products. Niche marketing is about taking a hot topic and providing content for that topic. If you do this enough times and you'll make money doing it. It's very simple to start but it needs to be done right. It's best to start a site with no ads build popularity for the site and then once you have traffic put ads up... go nuts, just don't be annoying. you'll make money though Google or some other ad you put up.

What's the formula for starting a niche web site.

1. Find a hot topic, something that isn't covered with mass amounts of internet marketers.
2. Research the topic to find out if you can write content for the topic to bring in traffic (wright articles for keywords)
3. Setup a simple site for that topic and start writing or pay someone to wright content
4. Submit it to the search engines (this will take about a month to go though)
5. Setup subscriber lists, market to them
6. Once you have regular traffic put up some ads
7. All or a percentage of the site's income should go back into the site.
8. Enjoy your new site and start another one

Very simple create one site and then another and another. The more you do this the better you'll get at finding and seeing niche website.

Yup I finally did it, I made my first buck online with Google adsense

It only took three months of research and a little writing.

Now I'm hoping the next 3 months will be filled with a lot more writing for a lot more pay.

Google Ad Sense can work if you have a high traffic site and high priced key words, choosing the right keywords are very important when starting a site, take this site for example it will not do well with Google Ad Sense. I know your asking your self, why start it? Well this is a good starter site, one where I don't expect to make money, I expect to make friends. a good healthy goal i set for myself right. All great social networking sites start by trying to provide a service that will help there users communicate. look how well some of these site are doing now.
